Andrew is a member of the Gwich’in First Nation and is passionate about promoting the well-being of Indigenous peoples through initiatives in Indigenous economic development. These investments are designed to be institutional quality achieving market returns while at the same time creating meaningful outcomes to improve the well being of Indigenous communities in various areas, including income and wealth, work and job quality, housing, knowledge and skills, community engagement, and environmental quality.
Andrew has over 25 years of experience in real estate investment, management and development and leads Hungerford Properties, a family real estate business with over $1.6B of assets under management and development. In his career, Andrew has overseen the investment, management and development of over $8 billion in real estate in North America and Europe. Before joining Hungerford Properties, Andrew worked in acquisitions and asset management at Deutsche Bank RREEF in London and a Morgan Stanley sponsored fund in New York City. His experience also includes positions at Goldman Sachs in London, Hutchison Whampoa Ltd. in Hong Kong, and KPMG’s real estate group in Vancouver. Under Andrew’s leadership, Hungerford Properties has received many local and national awards for development and refurbishment projects which have spanned a wide range of asset classes and geographies.
Andrew currently serves as an Advisory Board Member for Queen’s University Smith School of Business and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Previously, Andrew held the position of Chair for The Salvation Army Vancouver Harbour Light Community Council and was a committee member overseeing the construction of their largest facility in Canada. In 2013, he was recognized as one of the Business in Vancouver’s Top 40 Under 40 and in 2025 became a recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Queen’s University and a Masters of Business Administration from Stanford University. Andrew is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder, a registered Mortgage Broker in British Columbia, a Chartered Public Accountant (CPA, CA) in Canada, and a Certified Public Accountant in the United States.
Andrew lives in Vancouver and raises his hands to the the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations for caring for these local lands since time immemorial.
