JODY ANDERSON, CAPA

A proud Anishinaabe kwe from Treaty 3, Jody was born and raised in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, and is a proud member of Couchiching First Nation.

Jody Anderson is the Vice President of Partnerships, Strategy & Public Affairs at the First Nations Finance Authority (FNFA), where she plays a transformative role in advancing Indigenous-led economic growth across Canada. Her leadership reflects FNFA’s bold vision to accelerate community-driven development through strategic, investment-ready partnerships rooted in reconciliation and shared prosperity

In this leadership role, Jody designs and drives high-impact initiatives while fostering strong, trust-based relationships with First Nations committed to infrastructure development, financial and self-determination, and long-term prosperity. She engages directly with all levels of governments, corporations, financial institutions to align capital flows with Indigenous priorities, sustainable development goals, and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action.

She holds a Business Administration diploma in Human Resources Management from Fleming College and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Executive Education program. Jody is also a Certified Aboriginal Professional Administrator (CAPA) through AFOA Canada.

Jody’s mandate is to champion FNFA’s innovative tools— bringing solutions that unlock capital for First Nations communities while delivering stable, risk-mitigated returns for institutional partners. Her work bridges the gap between Indigenous aspirations and the investment community, positioning her as a critical voice in building inclusive, future-focused economic frameworks. Beyond her professional role, Jody serves as a community trustee for the Couchiching First Nation Legacy Trust Fund and sits on the Provincial Advisory Board for the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Passionate about community, she actively volunteers and prioritizes time with her husband and two sons in Ottawa, where they reside.
