TIM PHILPOTTS

Tim is a Canadian Partner and EY’s Global Infrastructure Leader. He has more than 30 years of experience advising clients globally on infrastructure and project finance, and he is recognized nationally as one of the leading financial advisors on infrastructure transactions. Tim has led many award-winning infrastructure projects across Canada and globally. He has advised on over 80 projects with total capital value of over $70B that have reached financial close. He has been a trusted advisor to numerous First Nation, private partners and Canadian government departments and agencies including Finance, NRCan, PSPC, DND and INFC. Tim has worked extensively on a diverse array of projects, including numerous energy, First Nations, resources, water, transportation and accommodation projects. 

In addition to advising government entities, Tim has also advised private sector partners on major infrastructure projects and has also led the formation of an infrastructure fund focused on PPP and infrastructure projects, Concert Infrastructure Fund, and the successful investment in a number of infrastructure projects.

Tim has built a reputation as a trusted advisor to governments and his clients have asked him on numerous occasions to brief senior officials, Ministers and Cabinets on large and complex energy projects.
