1. Collection of Information
By registering for the First Nations Investment Forum, you agree to provide the information required to process your registration, communicate event details, manage attendance, and support event operations.
This may include your name, organization, title, contact details, registration category, dietary requirements, accessibility needs, payment details, and any other information submitted through the registration process.
Personal information will only be collected when it is voluntarily provided by the registrant or by an authorized person completing registration on behalf of a delegate.
2. Registration Cancellation & Substitution Policy
All registration and ticketed event cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to connect@firstnationsinvestmentforum.ca.
To be eligible for a refund, cancellation requests must be received no later than October 30, 2026. No refunds will be issued for cancellation requests received after this date.
3. Cancellation & Refund Schedule
- 90+ days before the event: Full refund, minus a $200 administrative fee.
- 60 to 89 days before the event: 70% refund of registration fees.
- 30 to 59 days before the event: 50% refund of registration fees.
- Less than 30 days before the event: No refunds will be issued.
4. Event Cancellation or Postponement
If the Forum is cancelled by the organizers, registrants will receive a full refund of registration fees paid.
If the Forum is postponed, registrations will automatically transfer to the new event date. Refund requests related to postponement will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
5. Travel & Accommodation
The Forum organizers are not responsible for travel, accommodation, transportation, parking, or other costs incurred by participants due to cancellation, postponement, schedule changes, or non-attendance.
Participants are responsible for making and managing their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
6. Non-Attendance
No refunds will be issued for failure to attend the Forum.
7. Code of Conduct
The First Nations Investment Forum is committed to providing a professional, respectful, and welcoming environment for all participants.
All attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, partners, and guests are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner while attending the Forum and any related activities.
Participants must comply with all applicable laws, venue rules, event policies, and instructions provided by Forum staff or event representatives.
The organizers reserve the right to remove any person from the Forum without refund if their behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, disrespectful, discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate.
8. Respectful Participation
The Forum is intended to support meaningful dialogue, relationship-building, investment discussions, and collaboration among First Nations, Indigenous organizations, industry, government, and private sector participants.
Participants are expected to contribute to a safe and respectful event environment. Harassment, intimidation, discrimination, threatening behaviour, or conduct that interferes with another participant’s ability to attend or participate will not be tolerated.
Anyone who experiences or witnesses inappropriate behaviour should notify Forum staff as soon as possible.
9. Photography and Videography
Photography, audio recording, and video recording may take place during the Forum and related event activities.
By attending the Forum, participants acknowledge that their image, voice, or likeness may appear in event photography, video, or audio captured during the event. These materials may be used by the Forum organizers for event documentation, reporting, promotional materials, website content, social media, and future event communications.
The Forum organizers will make reasonable efforts not to identify individuals by full name or personal details without permission.
Participants who do not wish to be photographed or recorded should notify event staff at the Forum.
10. Use of Logos and Event Materials
Photography, audio recording, and video recording may take place during the Forum and related event activities.

11. Health, Safety, and Venue Rules
Participants are responsible for following all venue rules, safety procedures, and event instructions during the Forum.
The organizers reserve the right to make changes to event procedures, access requirements, schedules, or safety measures if required by the venue, local authorities, public health guidance, or circumstances affecting the event.
12. Alcohol and Substance Use
Alcohol may be served only at designated Forum events or areas, where permitted by law and venue policy.
Participants are expected to consume alcohol responsibly. Illegal substances and unsafe or disruptive behaviour related to substance use are not permitted.
The organizers reserve the right to remove any participant from the Forum without refund if their behaviour creates a safety concern or disrupts the event.
13. Limitation of Responsibility
Participants attend the Forum and related activities at their own discretion. The organizers are not responsible for personal injury, loss, damage, theft, travel disruption, accommodation issues, or other expenses incurred by participants, except where required by law.
Participants are responsible for their own belongings, travel arrangements, and personal decisions while attending the Forum.
14. Force Majeure
The organizers reserve the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the Forum due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, public health emergencies, labour disruptions, venue issues, government restrictions, travel disruptions, or other unforeseen events.
15. Governing Law
These Registration Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.
