BIOGRAPHY
We are delighted to announce that Chief Clarence Louie will be the keynote speaker for the First Nations Investment Forum Gala Dinner on December 9th!
 
Since December 1984, when first elected as Chief of the Osoyoos Indian Band – part of the Okanagan Nation in south central British Columbia – Clarence Joseph Louie has consistently emphasized economic development as a means to improve his peoples’ standard of living. Under his direction, the Band has become a multi-faceted corporation that owns and manages eleven businesses, five joint ventures and employs a thousand people.
 
Chief Louie is the recipient of several prestigious awards throughout his life and career, including the Order of British Columbia in 2006, Order of Canada in 2016, and the Canadian Business Hall of Fame in 2018.
